David Nunes, President and Co-Founder
My name is David Nunes. As an owner of Total Performance Fitness, I have been involved in the health and fitness industry for over 26 years. I became a certified Personal Trainer, several years ago and have been training and coaching clients ever since. My background stems from years of successful bodybuilding competitions and living an overall healthy lifestyle. I feel my success has come from dedication, consistency and drive, holding myself accountable for my own goals. I have a passion and desire for sharing my knowledge and am confident that I know what it takes to be successful.
I previously owned and operated Fitness Together in Dublin, Ca. which was a private, by appointment only, one on one personal training studio. Although successful helping numerous clients achieve their goals, I knew in the back of my mind that I wanted to partner with my son Shaun and open a larger Strength & Conditioning Training Center with an exclusive membership.
I have always said, “This is not rocket science, it is a lifestyle!” and understanding the specific needs of my clients has helped me focus on educating them to achieve their health & fitness goals. At TPF I will achieve this through individualized or small group fitness programs. I am very pleased to offer this new and unique fitness experience to the community in which I live.
Shaun Nunes, Chief Operations Officer, Strength Coach & Co-Founder

My Co-Owner and father, Dave Nunes has competed and been successful in many bodybuilding competitions since I was a young child. The passion for fitness is genetic I guess.
After all of my personal experiences, education, professional advice and wisdom I’ve built up over the years I have come to realize how important nutrition and exercise is to one’s health and happiness. It is BEYOND valuable information and is hard to come by for a price that is affordable. Until now. Many people do not understand the foundation behind science, and how simple it is to see results. You just have to be willing to learn, and have the mindset that you will do whatever it takes to reach your goals. Not to mention, the upmost faith TPF will help you every step of the way.

My name is Ryan Rubiaco. I am the Boot Camp / Basic Kickboxing Instructor and an Intern Strength Coach at Total Performance Fitness. I am currently attending National Personal Training Institute (NPTI).
I have been in the Army (Army National Guard) for 11 years. I deployed to Iraq in 03-04 and have had duties that range from Rifleman, Truck Driver, to a Scout Recon Detachment Rifleman, Pre-Basic Training Army Instructor, Section Sergeant, and Acting Platoon Sergeant. During my time I was in charge of numerous Physical Training Sessions and taught Army Combatives as well. I grew a passion of fitness from dealing with my own struggles and successes.
While being active in the Army I also participated in training and competing in local amateur fights in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). I have been training in MMA for 15 years. I started with Muay Thai then eventually got into Submission Grappling. I have trained with some UFC Veterans and prefer not to get into names. I train and teach how I train and teach. I have learned a lot along the way and believe that the way of a Martial Artist is an ongoing journey. I welcome you to the journey and I enjoy teaching and motivating others to do the same. This is a lifestyle and requires a full commitment and will not work with a partial. What you put into a healthy lifestyle is what you get. Let’s dig down and get some.
How bad do you want it?

My name is Leimomilani Kaho’ali’i, and I am one of the receptionists here at Total Performance Fitness. I am a full-time student at San Joaquin Delta College, studying to become a pediatric nurse. I love working with children, and kids tend to like me a lot as well so I am excited to see how my life will end up. I love being outdoors, and being active so having the opportunity to be a part of the TPF dream has been a great experience and a true blessing for me. Working here at TPF, I plan to gain as much knowledge as I can about fitness, health, and nutrition so I can help as many people as I can with what I know. Helping people is one of the things I love most. It makes me feel good to know that positive things are taking place, others feel good about themselves, and that I got to be a part of that change.
