Day 2 of training, I am on my own. I show up at TPF around 6:30am, and I loosen up a bit. I had to stretch out my sore muscles from the previous day, as the plan was to get on the bike and do 50 minutes of Cardio – 10 minutes of warmup, 30 minutes of cardio at my target heart rate of 150-160 beats per minute (BPM), and then 10 minutes to cool down and stretch again.
Well, it was grueling – I have never rode a bike that long in my life. I kept watching the timer, trying to watch ESPN to take my mind off the ride, just waiting to reach the target time.
18 miles later, I achieved my goal – I was pretty surprised I rode that much! I certainly felt in my gluteus muscles…..more from sitting on the hard seat than anything else!
Tomorrow, it’s time to begin the real training Shaun has in store for me….can’t wait to get fit!
